Assessment Centre Manager Software

By providing true-to-life simulations of real world assignments, Assessment and Development Centres provide unique and indispensable insights into how people will perform in the work-place. Not surprisingly, increasing numbers of organisations are implementing assessment centres as a fundamental part of their selection and development processes.

ACM

While successful implementation of Assessment and Development Centres can result in significant performance gains to an organisation, it is not without substantial costs in human resources. To achieve the required quality, considerable professional time and effort needs to be devoted to the design, logistics and reporting processes.

  • Assessment Centre Manager (ACM) has changed all of this, revolutionising the way in which Assessment and Development Centres are run.
  • ACM allows you to achieve in hours what would typically take days, if not weeks, of professional time.
  • ACM allows you to achieve valid assessment of competence by enhancing consistency.
  • ACM allows the HR professional to monitor and enhance the quality and efficiency of the individual assessment methods, the assessors and the assessment centre as a whole.

Assessment Dimensions
The ACM competency framework is very comprehensive, with over 80 competencies defined in terms of a general description and a set of behavioural indicators. Additional custom competencies, defined in similar ways, can easily be added to the system. These are then classified according to pre-existing categories such as communication skills, Organising/Structuring, Intellectual Skills etc., or new ones defined by the user.

Assessment Materials
ACM is provided with an initial set of royalty-free, generic individual and group exercises, which are ready to use.

Additional Packages
In addition to the assessment materials supplied with the package, it is also possible to purchase additional packages of exercises and dimensions to add into the system. Additional packages will be developed to focus on particular job sectors and will be of interest to users in selection and development within specialist areas.

Adding your own Exercises and Dimensions
ACM allows you to add your own custom exercises and dimensions, include associated documentation (such as case study materials or exercise instruction sheets) and make or modify links between exercises and dimensions. All related materials such as instruction sheets and additional exercise documents can be created, modified and printed without leaving ACM.

Designing Assessment and Development Centres
The process of designing Assessment and Development Centres has been greatly simplified by ACM. Simply choose from the list of in-built dimensions (which includes your own) and the system will then guide you through the process of selecting the exercises that are most suitable. This is possible through the use of links between dimensions and exercises that are built into ACM. Once an exercise has been selected, only the dimensions to which it is linked will then appear in the design grid for the assessment centre. Existing links can be modified and new links created wherever the need arises.

Planning the Logistics of Assessment and Development Centres
Once the exercises have been chosen, ACM’s "Logistics Planner" is used to plan on-screen the detailed schedule for the assessment centre. Logistics Planner helps you timetable exercises, add other activities such as breaks or introductory talks and then lets you plan in precise detail what each candidate and assessor will be doing at any time during the day. This information can be printed out in the form of individual schedules and an overall master timetable for the assessment centre as a whole.

Generating Documents
A particular feature of ACM is that once your centre has been designed, you can generate and print out all the necessary documents, including schedules, rating forms, instruction sheets etc. - at the click of a button. Especially time saving is the facility for producing the Assessor Record Forms. Each Assessor Record Form contains full details of every dimension assessed by a given exercise and contains spaces for ratings and comments for each candidate who will be observed in that exercise. This helps to ensure that assessors will judge candidates only on the intended dimensions and not on other characteristics irrelevant to the exercise.

Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting
ACM comes with a portable software companion, Data Centre, which allows you to enter all assessment data for each participant as each exercise is completed. Data Centre has been designed to maximise ease of data entry and allows you to record both numerical and verbatim comments made by assessors about individual candidates. Once all data has been input, a click of a button produces a detailed analysis, providing mean and overall scores on each dimension, on each exercise and on the assessment centre as a whole for each candidate. Data Centre can then be used to generate a variety of detailed professional quality reports with both graphic and narrative representation of the results, and in formats suitable for either selectors or candidates. When used for Development Centres rather than Assessment Centres, this facility is particularly useful for providing detailed feedback reports to candidates on their performance and their development needs.

Monitoring
Data centre generates a number of statistics essential for identifying any weaknesses that may exist in the design or assessments.

Pricing
Assessment Centre Manager is available for a once only cost of AED 11,000/- Data centre is also included in this price. There are no run time, dongle or report costs. Once you have purchased ACM, there are no additional charges.
